Quik-Kut has a new location

Early in 2017, Quik-Kut Power Equipment caught on fire and burnt to the ground. Leaving devastation in its wake, but the fire didn't break the spirit of its owners - Bruce and Rita Purcell. From the ashes, they rose up determined to continue their business and make it better than it was before. Within a couple of weeks, they were back to selling equipment and taking care of their customers. They purchased a new facility and worked hard to get back up and running. That new location is 3 South Clark Street in Claxton, Georgia. Drop by and say "Hello", I'm sure they would appreciate it.

For 33 years this coming March, Quik-Kut Distributors has been working in Claxton to gain notoriety by selling SCAG lawn mowers. Energetic and dynamic owner Bruce Purcell and his wife Rita have been a loyal SCAG dealer without the true benefit of a major metro area of service. Bruce will tell you his favorite story of the nearby town of Glenville, population 5,300; on a recent visit to the towns’ only 4 way stop he observed 4 trucks with trailers and each trailer had a SCAG mower aboard. That brought a tear to Bruce's eye. The constant search for that next edge in sales or service has been the Purcell trademark in business. As is true for all of our SCAG dealers, folks want to do business with dealers who make them feel good, provide a great sales experience and service after the sale. At Quik-Kut, the great sales experience may include a trip over to the Rattlesnake round up where SCAG equipment will be on display or it may be taking in a safety seminar that Bruce conducts to help educate owner/operators on the proper way to maintain and utilize a SCAG mower. Bruce recently sold SCAG mowers to The Georgia Prison System where they had been utilizing a red colored mower for many years. After demoing and committing to education and safety updates, Quik-Kut received the call that they were the successful bidder.
